General Hospital spoilers for Tuesday, August 25, tease a day filled with secret missions, dangerous connections, emotional advice, and growing relationship tension. Josslyn Jacks will keep the real reason behind her latest career decision hidden, while Liesl Obrecht worries that Britt Westbourne could once again become involved with the WSB.
Meanwhile, Anna Devane will struggle with whether to reveal a troubling secret to Valentin Cassadine. Jason Morgan will try to ease Carly Spencer's fears about Josslyn, and Ric Lansing will once again find himself bothered by Elizabeth Baldwin's growing closeness with Dante Falconeri.
Josslyn Keeps Her Real Mission Secret
Josslyn will continue talking with Hudson Parker after surprising him with her decision to accept the CEO position after all.
Hudson won't simply accept the sudden change of heart. He'll want to know what caused Josslyn to reconsider the position, especially since she had previously seemed uncertain about taking it.
However, Josslyn won't tell him the real reason.
Instead, she'll present a much simpler explanation. Josslyn can make it sound as though she's accepting the job because Jasper “Jax” Jacks believes she's the right person for it. She'll likely emphasize that disappointing her father isn't something she's willing to do.
But there is much more happening behind the scenes.
Josslyn's decision is actually connected to her newest WSB assignment, and Hudson won't be getting that information from her. Keeping her mission confidential could become increasingly difficult as she settles into her new role.
Lucas and Joe Prepare for an Unusual Living Arrangement
Lucas Jones will also have an important conversation on Tuesday.
He'll reassure Joe Fitzpatrick that their proposed temporary roommate arrangement might actually work better than expected. What initially sounds like an unusual solution could turn into a practical arrangement for both men.
Lucas appears willing to give the situation a chance, although living under the same roof could still create plenty of unexpected complications.
Liesl Warns Britt About the WSB
Britt Westbourne will have more information to share with her mother, Liesl Obrecht.
Britt may reveal that Anna Devane has agreed to investigate Cassius Faison and uncover additional information. That could give Britt and Liesl answers they've been searching for.
However, Liesl won't be completely pleased by the development.
Her biggest concern may be what Britt could have to sacrifice to get those answers. Liesl knows how easily Britt could become caught up in WSB business again, and she won't want her daughter getting too close to the organization.
Liesl will make her feelings very clear as she warns Britt not to put herself in a position where she owes the WSB anything.
That warning could be especially important if Britt's investigation begins pulling her deeper into Anna's world.
Anna Struggles With a Difficult Secret
Anna will have her own emotional battle to deal with.
She'll be tempted to tell Valentin about the disturbing hallucinations involving Peter August. Given their complicated history, opening up to Valentin could potentially give Anna someone she trusts with the truth.
Still, Anna may decide that revealing everything isn't the right move yet.
Her decision to remain silent could leave Valentin unaware of what Anna has been experiencing, while Anna continues trying to deal with the situation on her own.
Jason Gives Carly Hope About Josslyn
At the Metro Court pool, Carly will turn to Jason for reassurance as her concerns about Josslyn continue to grow.
Carly may fear that Josslyn is heading toward the same kind of difficult path Anna experienced while working with the WSB. Given the risks surrounding Josslyn's new assignment, Carly's worries are understandable.
Jason, however, will try to calm her down.
He'll point out that Josslyn has something Anna didn't have during her own difficult experiences: Carly.
Jason may remind Carly that she's always going to be there for her daughter. Josslyn has someone who knows her well, understands the dangers she may face, and won't hesitate to step in when necessary.
For Jason, that support system could make a major difference in how Josslyn handles whatever comes next.
Ric Sees Elizabeth Getting Closer to Dante
Ric Lansing will once again have trouble keeping his emotions under control.
At the hospital, Ric will notice Elizabeth Baldwin spending time with Dante Falconeri, and what he sees may immediately put him on edge.
Ric could interpret their interaction as another sign that Elizabeth and Dante are becoming romantically involved. Even if the situation isn't as serious as Ric believes, his growing jealousy could cause him to jump to conclusions.
The more Ric sees Liz and Dante together, the harder it may become for him to convince himself that nothing is happening between them.
Lulu Has Some Relationship Advice for Ric
Lulu Spencer will also have a chance to offer Ric some much-needed perspective.
She may encourage him to stop allowing jealousy and insecurity to control his decisions. If Ric truly wants a future with Liz, constantly reacting to Dante could ultimately push Elizabeth further away.
Lulu's advice may come down to one simple point: Ric could end up destroying his own chances if he refuses to get his emotions under control.
Unfortunately, Ric doesn't appear ready to take that lesson to heart.
Ric Could Continue Spiraling
General Hospital spoilers suggest Ric will continue struggling as his fears about Elizabeth and Dante grow.
Rather than stepping back and giving Liz room to make her own choices, Ric could become even more determined to figure out what is happening between them. His increasingly emotional behavior could create another major problem in his relationship with Liz.
At the same time, Josslyn's secret WSB mission, Britt's growing connection to Anna, and Anna's decision to keep her hallucinations private will all create additional tension around Port Charles.
Tuesday's episode could leave several characters facing difficult choices—and Ric may be the one closest to making a decision he will seriously regret.
