Monday’s episode of General Hospital delivered one shocking development after another, but the biggest mystery came at the very end. Charlotte and Danny made a horrifying discovery when they found a body floating in the Metro Court’s closed pool.

Elsewhere, Ava carried out Drew’s dangerous plan against Jack, Carly and Valentin uncovered potentially damaging information about Drew, and Laura attempted to convince Drew and Sonny to put their feud aside.

Meanwhile, Curtis found himself sharing a cell with Sidwell, Chase sought Dante’s advice about Willow, and Willow found some unexpected comfort while talking with Britt.

Here’s everything that happened on the Monday, August 31, 2026 episode of General Hospital.

Ava Carries Out Drew’s Plan Against Jack

Ava Slips Something Into Jack’s Drink

At the Metro Court Gardens, Ava put Drew’s plan into motion. While Jack was distracted by a phone call, Ava slipped the sleeping medication Drew had given her into his drink.

Jack soon returned, explaining that he needed to leave. Ava knew she needed him to stay long enough to finish the drink, so she kept the conversation going.

She brought up Nina and the complicated history between Nina and Willow, using the subject to keep Jack interested and drinking.

Eventually, Jack began feeling overheated and decided to head back toward his room. Ava immediately became nervous and sent Drew a message to let him know what was happening.

Jack, however, never made it all the way to his room. He became woozy near the elevator, suggesting that the drug was beginning to take effect.

Dante Turns to Britt About Rocco

While the situation with Jack was unfolding, Dante had another concern on his mind.

He met with Britt to discuss Rocco. Dante explained that his son had recently become distant and withdrawn, leaving him wondering whether Rocco had shared something troubling with Britt.

Britt reassured Dante that Rocco’s behavior could simply be connected to everything he had experienced following Cullum’s death. She also pointed out that teenagers sometimes pull away from their parents as they deal with difficult emotions.

Dante appreciated Britt’s perspective. Britt, in turn, admitted that she appreciated Dante coming to her for help, especially given their complicated history.

Laura Tries to Stop the Drew and Sonny Feud

Drew Refuses to Back Down

Laura and Sonny approached Drew at the Metro Court restaurant while he was preparing to head toward Carly’s office.

Laura revealed that she would soon be leaving town and wanted to see the ongoing conflict between Drew and Sonny end before she went. She proposed a temporary ceasefire and asked Drew to step aside in the auction for Pier 55, giving Sonny the opportunity to regain the property.

Drew was having none of it.

He accused Sonny of being a criminal and insisted that his own business dealings were legitimate. Sonny countered that he was also trying to operate as a legitimate businessman, but Drew clearly wasn't interested in finding common ground.

Drew made it clear that he intended to keep fighting Sonny and even vowed to destroy him.

After Drew walked away, Sonny assured Laura that Drew's threats would not stop him from pursuing his legitimate business goals. Sonny also recognized that their conflict could have consequences for the younger generation, including Rocco, Danny, and Scout.

For Sonny, keeping the feud from damaging their children was just as important as winning the business battle.

Carly and Valentin Find Something They Can Use Against Drew

Their Romantic Moment Turns Into an Investigation

Carly and Valentin were enjoying a steamy moment in her office when an unexpected call interrupted them.

The front desk informed Carly that a package had arrived for Drew. Carly immediately became suspicious. She already believed Drew could be making moves against Michael, Sonny, or Jason, so she saw an opportunity to find out what he was really doing.

The pair went to Drew’s new Aurora office and used Carly’s master key to get inside.

But they weren't the only ones interested in Drew’s office.

Danny and Charlotte Try Their Own Investigation

Danny and Charlotte were also determined to find something they could use against Drew. Danny hoped that uncovering damaging information might help him convince Drew to allow him to see Scout.

Danny had managed to take a master key from the hotel housekeeping staff. Before the teens could enter Drew’s office, however, they heard Carly and Valentin approaching.

They quickly hid and waited.

Once inside, Carly and Valentin searched the office. Their investigation paid off when Valentin discovered an envelope hidden inside a cabinet.

The document contained information about Drew’s plan to return to the corporate world.

Carly and Valentin immediately realized they had found something potentially useful. They decided to take the file and use the information against Drew.

Curtis Learns Who His New Cellmate Is

Sidwell Warns Curtis About the Danger

Curtis received an unpleasant surprise after arriving at his new housing unit in Pentonville.

His new cellmate turned out to be Sidwell.

Sidwell warned Curtis that the situation could be dangerous for both of them. Whatever Sonny’s associates had planned for Sidwell could put Curtis directly in the middle of the conflict.

Sidwell also pointed out that Curtis’s history as a former police officer could make him a target among the inmates, creating another layer of danger for Sidwell himself.

The two men suddenly found themselves connected by circumstances neither of them could easily control.

Chase Opens Up About Willow

Chase Tries to Set Boundaries

At the boathouse, Chase comforted Willow during an emotional moment between them.

After a close physical exchange, Chase suddenly pulled back. Willow apologized for relying on him so much, but Chase explained that Brook Lynn and Phoebe were extremely important to him.

Even so, Chase told Willow that he could still be there for her as a friend, particularly because of everything they had been through together.

The conversation ended with the two of them leaving the boathouse.

But they didn't realize they had been overheard.

Scout and Rocco Hear Everything

Rocco and Scout had been hiding behind the bushes and heard the entire conversation.

Scout was stunned by what she had heard. She wondered whether Willow had secretly been in love with Chase throughout her marriage to Drew.

Rocco urged her not to assume the worst based on one conversation.

Scout eventually appreciated Rocco’s ability to calm her down. Instead of immediately jumping to conclusions, she was able to consider that there could be another explanation for what she had overheard.

Chase Asks Dante for Advice

Later, Chase met Dante at the Gardens and opened up about Willow.

Chase believed that Willow might still have feelings for him, leaving him unsure about how much he should become involved in her situation.

Dante gave Chase some straightforward advice. If Willow was genuinely in danger, Chase should be there for her. However, Dante warned him against becoming entangled in Willow’s complicated problems with Michael.

Chase was left to figure out how to help Willow without allowing their past relationship to pull him into an even bigger mess.

Britt and Willow Bond Over Lost Love

Cousins Find Comfort in Each Other

Willow later encountered Britt at the bar in the main restaurant.

The cousins shared drinks while talking about the men they had loved and lost. Britt reflected on Patrick, while Willow talked about Chase and the happiness she believed she had once found.

Willow admitted that she felt as though she had ruined her chance at a happy ending.

Britt offered her a more hopeful perspective. She had managed to find love again, and she believed Willow could do the same.

Drew Searches Jack’s Room

While Ava waited for word from Drew, the next stage of their plan continued.

Drew successfully reached Carly’s empty office and used a computer virus to knock the hotel’s security system offline.

He then went to search Jack’s room.

When Drew failed to respond to Ava’s message, Ava became increasingly worried. She hurried toward Jack’s room because she knew they needed to get out before Jack returned.

The pressure was mounting as their plan continued to unfold.

Charlotte and Danny Make a Horrifying Discovery

A Night Swim Takes a Terrifying Turn

With their attempt to get into Drew’s office disrupted by Carly and Valentin, Danny and Charlotte changed plans.

The teens eventually made their way to the Metro Court’s dark pool, which was closed for the season.

Charlotte suggested they go swimming anyway. She reasoned that there was no point in borrowing Chase’s truck if they weren't going to make the most of their night.

But the mood changed almost instantly.

Charlotte swam toward the deep end and suddenly noticed something in the water.

There was a body floating in the pool.

The discovery left Charlotte horrified, turning what had started as a rebellious night out into a terrifying mystery.

What Happens Next on General Hospital?

Monday’s episode ended with one major question hanging over Port Charles: Who is the person floating in the pool?

The discovery could have serious consequences for Charlotte and Danny, especially since the teens were already secretly investigating Drew.

At the same time, Carly and Valentin now possess information about Drew’s business plans, while Drew’s conflict with Sonny continues to escalate.

And with Chase questioning Willow’s feelings, Scout having overheard their conversation, and Curtis sharing a cell with Sidwell, there are plenty of complications still waiting to explode.

Who do you think is in the pool? Will Sonny keep his promise to Laura and avoid letting his feud with Drew affect the next generation? And could Chase be right about Willow still having feelings for him?
