Before Jason's shocking announcement, another important conversation unfolded at the WSB.
Josslyn Warns Brennan About Nina
Nina stopped by Brennan's office to accept the dinner invitation he had previously extended. Unfortunately, Brennan had to postpone their plans because he was waiting for an urgent work call.
Although disappointed, Nina appreciated his honesty. Brennan explained that he didn't want his professional responsibilities to interfere with their relationship the way they once had with Carly. Their romantic moment quickly heated up, but the kiss ended abruptly when Josslyn unexpectedly entered the office after finishing her morning run.
During her run, Josslyn found herself reliving the terrifying day she was shot, showing that the traumatic experience still weighs heavily on her.
Once Nina left the office, Josslyn confronted Brennan privately. She cautioned him about becoming involved with Nina and reminded him how Nina once allowed Sonny's loved ones to believe he had died while he was actually living with amnesia.
Brennan wasn't interested in revisiting Nina's past. Instead, he reminded Josslyn that working for the WSB meant learning to separate personal relationships from professional responsibilities if she wanted to survive in that world.
Jason Walks Away From Sonny's Organization
Elsewhere, Jason sat down with Sonny for one of the most emotional conversations they've ever shared.
After informing Sonny that he was stepping away from his role as his longtime enforcer, Jason explained what finally pushed him to make the decision. His recent arrest forced him to realize how many important moments he had already missed with Danny. Now that he had another chance at freedom, he refused to lose any more time with his son.
Sonny immediately tried to find another solution. He even offered to change Jason's responsibilities if it meant keeping him close. Jason, however, had already made up his mind. He wanted Danny to see a different future instead of growing up believing his father's dangerous lifestyle was something to admire.
The emotional farewell reminded both men of everything they had shared over the years. Jason thanked Sonny for giving him purpose during one of the darkest periods of his life, while Sonny acknowledged that Jason would always be family no matter where life took him.
The longtime friends embraced, bringing an end to one of Port Charles' most iconic partnerships.
Anna Challenges Valentin's Latest Decision
Anna Walks In on Valentin and Carly
At the Metro Court Gardens, Anna unexpectedly spotted Valentin and Carly sharing a kiss. Before she could react, Peter once again appeared in one of Anna's disturbing visions, mocking Valentin for being too distracted to help her.
Startled, Anna accidentally bumped into a server, immediately drawing Carly and Valentin's attention. They welcomed her to join them as Valentin happily announced that he had finally regained control of his financial assets.
Anna wasn't impressed.
She warned Valentin that accepting another arrangement with the WSB would eventually cost him his freedom because the agency never truly lets anyone walk away.
Carly pushed back, insisting Valentin had proven it was possible to leave the organization. That gave her hope that Josslyn might someday escape that dangerous world as well.
Anna Opens Up About Josslyn
As the discussion continued, Anna admitted she had known about Josslyn's work with the WSB but never revealed it to Carly. She confessed that she would have discouraged Josslyn from joining if she'd had the chance, although she quietly watched over her whenever possible.
Carly appreciated Anna's honesty and concern for her daughter.
Valentin, however, became increasingly worried that Anna was still carrying emotional scars connected to Faison and feared she hadn't truly moved on from her past.
Valentin Gives Nina a Reality Check
After leaving Brennan's office, Nina crossed paths with Valentin and Carly at the Metro Court.
Valentin thanked Nina because her involvement had ultimately helped him recover his fortune. However, the conversation quickly turned sharp when he suggested Brennan's interest in Nina had less to do with romance and more to do with her connection to him as Valentin's former wife.
Carly couldn't hide her amusement as Valentin effortlessly put Nina on the defensive.
Game Night Can't Distract Trina
Emma, Gio and Kai joined Trina for a casual game night in hopes of taking her mind off Curtis' upcoming trial.
Josslyn declined the invitation, claiming she had work obligations.
Trina admitted she planned to stay away from the courtroom because Curtis didn't want her there, but she still struggled with the decision. Soon afterward, she, Gio and Kai left to meet with music executive Simon.
Meanwhile, Anna returned home and spoke with Emma about Josslyn's WSB involvement. She admitted she was relieved Emma had no interest in following that same path.
Later, Peter's haunting presence returned yet again. He manipulated Anna by suggesting Britt would eventually use Emma against her and insisted Valentin wouldn't be able to protect them. Peter's cruel words pushed Anna toward believing only she could stop whatever danger might be coming.
Brook Lynn Hides the Truth From Gio and Trina
At the Surf Lodge, Simon revealed that he had ambitious plans for Gio and Trina's music careers.
Everything changed when Trina introduced Kai as her boyfriend.
Simon immediately made it clear he wasn't happy. He refused to shake Kai's hand and later privately explained to Brook Lynn that the label intended to market Gio and Trina as a romantic couple. According to him, their public image depended on fans believing they were together.
Brook Lynn later shared Simon's proposal with Gio, Trina and Kai.
None of them supported the idea.
Gio immediately wanted to activate the 90-day exit clause in their contract. Instead of telling them the full truth about Simon's demands, Brook Lynn urged everyone to remain patient, promising she would resolve the situation herself.
Unknown to the group, Trina's obsessed admirer continued monitoring her online. The mysterious stalker even edited Kai out of one of Trina's photos, revealing an increasingly disturbing obsession.
Dante and Elizabeth Grow Even Closer
Ric couldn't hide his jealousy after seeing Dante coaching Elizabeth during softball practice at the park.
When Ric interrupted them, the atmosphere immediately became uncomfortable. Although Elizabeth agreed to see Ric later, he walked away frustrated.
After Ric left, Dante admitted he still struggled with the fallout from the missing Cullum evidence investigation. Even though Anna had stopped searching for the missing file, he continued questioning whether he had damaged his own integrity by protecting Rocco.
Elizabeth reassured Dante that choosing his son's well-being had been the right decision. Her support strengthened the trust between them and eased some of his guilt.
Unfortunately for Ric, he returned to the park only to discover Dante and Elizabeth were still spending time together, leaving him even more frustrated than before.
